It was a crisp winter morning on the 2 Feb 2017. Perfect for an hour’s walk along one of the trails starting out from Votier Flats.
Votier’s Flats is part of Fish Creek Provincial Park. Located in SW Calgary, this section of the park borders the community of Canyon Meadows to the north and Fish Creek to the south. There are several picnic sites, park benches, hiking trails and bike pathways. Like most places located within the Provincial Park, nature thrives. It’s easy to forget you’re in a large city while exploring Votier’s Flats. Bears have been known to wander into the West side of the park.
How to get there: Basically it is at the far south end of Elbow Dr.
